OVERVIEW

OVERVIEW

During my time as a digital marketing intern with a leading full-stack creative marketing agency, I noticed a pain point within the Google Ads campaign development process. Using Claude Code, I built a software program to directly address this pain point within a 5-day timeline, incorporating Neon for data persistence, Clerk for user authentication, Gemini for AI & generation, and Vercel for hosting.

Problem

During my time as a digital marketing intern with a leading creative ad agency, I noticed that the process of writing Google Ad copy for client campaigns was clunky, switching back and forth between LLMs like ChatGPT just to have certain keywords flagged due to Google policy restrictions. I saw that there was room for automation to make this process more streamlined so that client campaigns could be pushed out more quickly and with higher-quality ad copy.

I saw that there was room for automation to make this process more streamlined so that client campaigns could be pushed out more quickly and with higher-quality ad copy.

Solution

I built a web application called AdForge that generates structured Google Ads campaigns for clients. After creating an account, users access the dashboard. Here, the user describes their client, the client's industry, website, and brand context. AdForge scans the client's website to learn more about their product/service, allowing it to tailor results more specifically. Next, users can create their client's first campaign, give it a name, and write a brief description of that campaign's objective. The user then creates their client's first ad group for that campaign, gives it a name, and, again, writes a brief description of that ad group's theme and objective. Once the client profile is set up with at least one campaign and ad group, the user can generate keywords, headlines, and descriptions, all of which are tailored specifically towards that client, campaign, and ad group's objectives, while falling within Google Ad's policies and character limits. Users can choose between three keyword match types before copy and pasting: broad, phrase, and exact.

USER JOURNEY & UI

USER JOURNEY & UI

  1. In the Generator tab, users begin by building the client profile. They add the name, website, and a brief description to give AdForge some context about the client's market offer. The user then builds their client's first campaign, naming it and describing the primary objective. Finally, the user creates the first ad group within that campaign, giving it a name and describing its focus/theme, where they can then generate high-intent keywords, headlines, and descriptions, perfectly tailored for their client's marketing goals.

  1. In the Library tab, users can keep track of their clients, campaigns, ad groups, and all the keywords, headlines, and descriptions that they previously developed for their clients.
